Starting up my 5 second sketches again – really have missed them! I have been away from drawing since prior to organizing a house move.
The first set was very stiff (I photograph hummers, but have never drawn them); however, by page 2 I began to loosen up.
It made it very clear to me that practice is essential for an for me to remain active as an artist, no matter how many years I have been creating. Thus – I am making a commitment to get back to regular drawing. It is a happy decision. See you around!
Always inspiring!! Glad to see your back to sketching…and now you’ve relocated. Please send your new address and if you have time, let me know how things have been going. I am sure you aren’t totally settled in, as that always takes time. But I hope you are enjoying more space, and like the new surroundings. I have been recovering from a surgery. The Lord has been good to me. It was a bit more than expected, but I am on the mend. Can drive again soon and can do the stairs again, which was hard as our full bath is on the second floor. Fortunately we have a sofa bed and small bath down, so I was able to do OK. Just moved upstairs and back in our bed on Saturday evening. Praise the Lord for His keeping power and healing touch. So many are going through and have gone through, or anticipate, so much physical challenges that I thank the Lord I have good health. IT has been 30 years since I was in the hospital and that was minor also. The physicians and nurses are always surprised when they have a patient that takes no meds, etc. No health issues, and I thank the Lord almost daily for that blessing and that it has enabled me to take care of others in the family My children have been spot on taking care of things here, and BEthany, who now lives with us, has been a great blessing. she has done double duty as she has helped me here, also took care of her brother’s home while he and wife are gone for two weeks (they are home Tuesday) and keeping up with her own needs. I am sure she will be very glad when I can do our laundry and all the cooking again…altho we do take turns anyway. God knows what we need and He does supply. Well, time for me to get back upstairs. I was up a lot the last two days and I can tell I need to be a bit more careful these next few days. It’s only 3 weeks this Wed. since surgery and recovery is six weeks…hard to remember when I don’t see any evidence of wound, healing, and feel good! I sure don’ t want a set back!! God bless you…just when you have time, let me know where you and how you are. Love and prayers. Alethea Had a surprise call this past week from Emma letting us know she may be up for a visit soon. That is very exciting news. Haven’t seen her in a very long time.
